Marsha Miller and Kara Jones joined forces for the first time over 7 years ago, on the hottest day of the summer, trying to catch a senior, injured dog at a local business.  They were successful, and the seed for RUFF (Rescuers United For Furbabies) was planted that day.  RUFF has now grown into an amazing team of fosters, transporters, donors, and volunteers.RUFF’s mission is to promote animal welfare, to educate the public on spay/neuter, and to act as a safe haven for stray and sheltered animals until they can be transferred to other reputable rescue animal organizations for adoption.
